de adquisición de la lengua materna y el inicio del desarrollo de la referencia

medio: En la etapa de dos palabras por vez, la lengua que usa el niño es más
simple que la del adulto, pues carece de determinantes, preposiciones, nexos,
conectivos, etc., pero implican unas relaciones semánticas auténticamente
creadoras.
Esas nociones
semánticas se elaboran en situaciones de interacción con el adulto, y podemos
distinguir:
•Significado
lexical (el de las palabras aisladas) que se adquiere de forma progresiva:
desde el guau para referirse a todos los animales hasta la adquisición funcional
y dominar categorías de significado literal, contextual, figurativo o en
relación a otras palabras.
•Roles semánticos
(el significado que adoptan las palabras en función de su rol en la oración).
Brown aseguraba que durante el período sensoriomotriz, el niño elabora una
serie de nociones semánticas sobre la realidad (agente, acción, receptor,
lugar, entidad, atributo, etc.) y es capaz de relacionarlas y expresarlas
lingüísticamente. Así las combinaciones de dos palabras que realiza
responderían a ocho relaciones elementales de dos términos y tres operaciones
